Has anyone converted an '06 to the new steering set up on the '08 models? Thoughts on it? Advice?

If you are still under warranty, go beat the **** out of ur front end. Then go take it to get warrantied and ask if they could use the 08 steering. I love mine.

Yes there is an upgrade after many peoples tie rods broke causeing lots of damage according to my dealer. The techs told me to bring my truck in and they would replace it all and do my swaybar links too.

So if ur truck is under warrenty u need to go in complaining bout lots of vibrations and poping in the steering.

If you are out of warranty go to www.thurenfabrication.com His HD steering is incredible and you will never have another tie-rod to worry about!

Thurenfabrication has a couple diffrent steering kits, but the best one as of now for our trucks, is the 08' steering that comes from the factory. He has some good x-over steering kits for other rigs, like 2nd gen. Or even 3rd Gen, but if your truck is under warranty, just ask them to put on the 08' steering. I know thats what he would say as well.
