2004 Pontiac GTP- Do I have a chance?
Depending on what size pulley he is running and if he is tuned for it, you will get beat. A 3.8 tuned is a very powerful motor. Here is one guy I get parts from and is considered an authority on GM supercharged engines. http://www.intense-racing.com/ just look at what he has to offer for the 3.8's.
Pick a nice hot day and race him if you must. Supercharged engines are horrible for heat soak unless he has supporting cooling mods.

my wife has an 06 pontiac g6 gtp and i can say its quick but not fast. my truck smoked it with the stock trans going out and with crazy larry and the ez. Now the poor little thing doesnt even stand a chance. i would say you got him
I have to agree with matego and a few others. 3.8s are a very potent motors when built right. The Buick in my sig has the 3.8 with stock: block, crank, rods, pistons, cam, heads, trans and rearend and I hit 11s(on street tires) once I got traction addressed. That being said, if he is as close to stock as he said and you get the holeshot on him, there might be a chance.
Good Luck
