WOW is EDGE ever crap???

Wow. As you all know I have isspro gauges and edge juice attitude hot unlock. Today I was driving around town at 40 km/hour and i saw 600 F for a egt while cruising. If I accelerate LIGHTLY on highway up to 100 km/hour i can EASILY see 1300 EGT (empty). When i lay into it on highway empty I can see 1500 F on isspro and edge pyro and also my boost can go to 40 EASILY. I have my max boost point set at 25 psi but yet I can see 40. Once i saw 42 psi on both edge and isspro at same time. Go figure? I think i have the wrong edge or ***?

I have the EJ/A...

The paramaters that you set are where the Edge backs down at, it does not control your wastegate. When your truck hits a certain temp or boost point, that's when it starts to back the fuel off.

It runs hot... I can still almost peg a 1500 guage with my turbo and water injection...

Just out of curiosity why would you set your boost to 25psi? Factory on your truck is 32psi and 40 is easily safe. Adding a little boost from factory will also help keep EGT's down....EGT stock on most trucks is also in the 1400 range...1500 is high but not unreasonable compared to what others see.

All the boost setting does on the Edge is set an alarm to alert you...

I run mine around town on 3 all the time, and have never had a problem with EGTs... City/getting on the highway, never had an issue with high EGTs.

You need to sell that Edge on Ebay and get something else. I had 0 problems with my Edge and even on hot unlock temps were reasonable. Your truck does not like it for some reason I guess.

Like Madhat said, the Edge will cut added fuel at your boost set point. Stock fueling is enough to spin the stock turbo beyond 40PSI. The Juice only plugs into the injectors and MAP on your truck and the data link connector to read info. It has no ability to control your wastegate.

The J/A is a excellent, proven product and it is usually the first thing I recommend when people ask me what to get. It is far from being crap by any means.

You have been fighting that Edge for nearly a year. sell it and buy a smarty since you already have gauges!

The Edge does boost fooling to the ECM through the MAP sensor. The Edge does not have the ability to control the wastegate to manage boost. Even if you are building 60PSI boost the Edge will only tell the ECM it is making ~32PSI no matter what you have the boost setting to on the Attitude. You can confirm this with a OBD2 scanner. I had to get a mechanical boost controller because of this same issue. I could hit 50+ with the Hot Juice/MP-8 stack on the stock turbo.

There is a reason there are 237 members in the SAC. Bandwagon or not, it does live up to all the hype.

My Edge Juice with Attitude has been great. Good power, rarely see over 1100 EGT's and I stand on it. Also, something like 12 different available gauge displays. Good stuff right there.

Are you still running the stock turbo while running the edge on level 6?
