i checked my alignment with a tape measure and made slight adjustments as needed...it was slighty off after my 2inch spacers, then i had to adjust my steering wheel slightly so it was straight again.

Actually the 4x4 straight axle trucks will see increased toe in and a caster increase as I stated. Take a look under the truck and check the out the Y link setup for the tie rod (this isn't an old fashoned 70's straight axle chevy with a single element tie rod). As the axle and chassis separate the Y will become more pronounced pulling the wheels inboard. Check for yourself, take a tape measure, measure the tire width and then jack up the chassis (not the axle) you will see an increase in toe in. As you raise the chassis watch how this Y link changes. It won't change much but it changes. As for the caster the 4x4 uses a 5 link setup with unequal length control arms with the shorter arm on top. As the chassis and axle separate the shorter upper arm will pull the top of the axle rearward causing an increase in positive caster. To visualize this effect take a business card and cut out a couple of strips, one shorter than the other. Lay them out parallel about 1/4" apart and staple two of the ends, one strip through each end of the staple. The staple will be the simulated axle attachment points. Then pin the other ends to a pad of paper so they pivot. Now pivot these parallel links (which simulate your unequal length control arm setup) and check out how the caster changes. You could simulate the Y link as well with paper cutouts.
