1/4" spacer between duals
I recently installed a set of cooper stt's in 265 70 17 on my dually and they are really close. I am getting ready to pull a trailer next week and thinking bout putting a set of 1/4 spacers between the duals. Is anyone out there running 1/4 spacers? If so where did you get them and any problems getting the wheels to center being they are hub centric?
With a 1/4" spacer you should still have plenty of hub for the outside wheel to sit on, so no worries about it being centered. My spacers are 2" and I got them off of Ebay-they had 1/4" ones in stock also
Im currently running a set of the same tires as you and i dont run spacers...I have a 40 ft tri-axle inclosed racing gooseneck i pull all the time, and i have pulled our 6415 Jd tractor and bushhog on 26ft gooseneck and i have never had any trouble...I wouldnt worry about the spacers but if you choose to run them there are plenty of threads....
Get an extra set of dually steel wheels and cut the centers out, grind them round, bam, your done.... 1/4" spacers.... I think I still have my old centers that I used on my dually before I went to 35's. I'll look for them tomorrow. If I can find them, I'll send them to you if you pay shipping.
