05 with blown engine, what to do??
That engine is not blown it is just has a little wheeze of a cold that a fresh piston or two will cure. Any of the big engine guys would love to help your buddy out. Scheid is a favorite with alot in that they offer internal engine work plus twins, custom water injection, etc. EEP, Haisley's, ETC are good choices among many others. A BLOWN engine has a hole in block with a rod stuck in it.....we call them duramaxes
.....although it has happened to a few Cummins with big oil leaks in the turbo fueling oil into the intake....never good. KS

Good ole banks....cough*JUNK*cough.... they have alot more money to fight people about warrenty stuff then you do. Good luck with the new engine, i would talk to alot of the big HP guys like lmills to find out what products make power, the whole buildup of my truck was done after hearing how other guys were doing with products....
I called Banks one day to ask why i should buy Banks products just for the fun of it.....I was told that when comparing literature, i would find that Banks is much better.
Put me down for a 4th in calling Scheid Diesel.
Just look at what John P's Red Ram Rocket just did on a dyno. I made like 780+ on a dyno at the rear wheels running #2 only. If he ever gets a good tire on it to keep from spinning all four the first 50 foot, he'll be in the 11's.
