I recently traded my 06 4x4 for a 2wd 04.5. I had the BDDL CL in the 06, it was really quick and tons of smoke, I down loaded the same tune in my 04 and its just OK with half the smoke. I am happy with the performance just wondering if theres more too be had?

 

I have found all trucks to be different(even w/ the same engines), my Dad has an 07 that I'm scared to put a DL on because it runs so strong. No two run alike.

 

Some like some tuners others like other tuners.

 

have you serviced it since ya got it ? fuel filter.... checked fuel presure ? listened for the lift pump run?

 

What do you mean you downloaded the same tune? Are you using the same BDDL, or did you buy a new one for the new truck? The 06s and 04.5s have different ecms and so you would need a downloader for the specific truck.

 

Lift pump differences...put a system in. The intake lift pump on the 06 moves more fuel than the 04.5 at filter pump. Both trucks were starved anyway.

I read this again, my downloader (Bully Dog Triple Dog) says I can plug it in an 04 or an 06. When I plugged it in the 04 it ask what year it was, it had an option for a 04, so thats what I chose.
