hey blackedout1ton, i did my 5" turbo back straight pipe with the 8" tip and i'll tell you.....absolutely awsome. i love how loud it sounds and the drone actually dropped a little in the cab. with that 8" tip it sounds like a rig taking off i LOVE it!!!!

Think ya'll could post some pics of the tips ya'll have? I don't think mine would look good with anything bigger that 6inch . painted black of course

So you have the 4 inch down pipe to 5 inch? also, did you start with a simple muffler delete and then jump up to a bigger exhaust?

I am trying to figure out how much louder it will be by getting rid of the factory piping and straight pipe.

I think I will get a six in pipe and weld it on the end like I have done with the 5 inch on my factory tailpipe

any idea on the cost of the turbo elbow? and where to find, if its high ill pass.
Yes it is 5" the whole way. No fitment issues. Stock exhaust comes off easy with a sawzaw.

I am not sure if I am going to remove mine with the bolts and clamps or just sawzall it, I am sure after 6 years and 185k miles a sawzall will be my tool of choice, I was hoping to keep it together so when I resale the truck put it back under there. but who knows. .

Good luck with that, but I bet you will be using the saw. I couldn't even get the bolts off my 06 with 30K miles on it.

good new, here at the college we have a diesel mech class, just talk to the instructor and he said i could use the lift to do the job that makes things a bit easier, now I am just playing the waiting game until arrival.

thanx for the pics rip, I think six inch is about my maximum. straight cut like my current setup.

Hey does anybody have pics with 7 or 8 inch tips. I have had 6 inch tips with my 5 inch in the past but think something alittle bit bigger would be really cool. Thanks

sure can't wait to get it on. . . . but I am having doubts of when to install it, I have a road trip coming up Oct.3-5 and I will have three passengers, its only about 5 hours each way but I do not want to give them head aches. I guess I will just pop in a dvd and crank it up

Or do you think this excuse will work for an officer " Yes, officer I know I was speeding but my truck is so dang loud I had to keep the RPM's up to knock down the drone" haha

also, SHOW US YOUR TIPS .

hahaha, mass is pretty strict. no modified exhaust at all. they would have a field day with my truck unfort. no front plate(replaced by a cummins plate), dark tint (matches rear windows), exhaust....i dont think it would ever end if i really got a officer with a hair across his rear. i usually get em to compliment my rig hahaha
