Think ya'll could post some pics of the tips ya'll have? I don't think mine would look good with anything bigger that 6inch . painted black of course
my current five inch by about 22 inch.
my current five inch by about 22 inch.
Was this kit 5 inch the whole way??
So you have the 4 inch down pipe to 5 inch? also, did you start with a simple muffler delete and then jump up to a bigger exhaust?
I am trying to figure out how much louder it will be by getting rid of the factory piping and straight pipe.
I think I will get a six in pipe and weld it on the end like I have done with the 5 inch on my factory tailpipe
any idea on the cost of the turbo elbow? and where to find, if its high ill pass.

I am not sure if I am going to remove mine with the bolts and clamps or just sawzall it, I am sure after 6 years and 185k miles a sawzall will be my tool of choice, I was hoping to keep it together so when I resale the truck put it back under there. but who knows. .

i put the fire stick to mine to get it off . i loosened everything with penatrating oil and a impact and messed with it for about 15 mins before i decided i wasnt never putting it back on.lets see some pics of that 8" tip. im wanting to mess around with mine to get it to look just right so id like to see where u welded it and so on and so forth

sure can't wait to get it on. . . . but I am having doubts of when to install it, I have a road trip coming up Oct.3-5 and I will have three passengers, its only about 5 hours each way but I do not want to give them head aches. I guess I will just pop in a dvd and crank it up
Or do you think this excuse will work for an officer " Yes, officer I know I was speeding but my truck is so dang loud I had to keep the RPM's up to knock down the drone" haha
also, SHOW US YOUR TIPS .

hahaha, mass is pretty strict. no modified exhaust at all. they would have a field day with my truck unfort. no front plate(replaced by a cummins plate), dark tint (matches rear windows), exhaust....i dont think it would ever end if i really got a officer with a hair across his rear. i usually get em to compliment my rig hahaha
hey blackedout1ton is there anyway that you can get a pic of your truck with exhaust tip up. I cant decide to get a 7 or an 8. Also did you get your tip from farm boys diesel. How long is it and is it bolt on or weld on. Thanks for the help
