New Stacker

Tried the smarty with X2 race stack.Did sw3 mod.tq.stock inj after market turbo X2 on 2. The turbo spools fast. 30lbs in a heart beat. Did not stand on it, but half throttle hang on. Do not want to try any higher will switch to mild tq,good enough for now, stock tranny but what a difference. It PULLS HARD.When the Revo comes out of beta testing will it do away with the pressure boxes? The testers that are running the revo have you stacked with a X2 and how does it compare with out the X2 and the raised pressure done by the Revo.

I don't think It you'll need the stack nor gain anything from a stack with the new TNT Revolution You might loose pwer. Becareful on that stock tranny.

I am pretty easy on the stock tranny no burn outs or boosted launches. most of my checking these performance things out is rolling start or highway driving.btw grew up in akron.

I'm about to re-load my smarty with the X2 Race. Right now I have software 4.09, 108A version loaded.
Did you notice much change when changing levels with the X2? Have you looked at the different softwares for it also? There are so many choices, that it makes it tough to figgure out which ones to use. I'm all stock except for the exhaust and intake. So far, I am very dissappointed with the power from the X2R. Level 5 on it doesnt compare to level 3 on the smarty.

Any advice from those of you who have been there and done that with the X2 and Smarty, please chime in.....

I hope you are running pressure only with SW3. If not you are risking a lot. I am running the Smarty on 9 with Quad race on 2 PRESSURE ONLY. I let smarty handle everything but pressure. Once REVO comes out I am all over it. The quad will be coming out. Great box, but not needed. The only nice part is shift on the fly.

I should clarify - I am stacking with the following goals:
1) Use the Quad to help control the smoke.
2) Give myself the ability to turn the power up or down on the fly.

I am NOT trying to get more power (from the Smarty). I know well already the issues with too much power (one tranny under my belt!). I'm a daily commuter, occasional tower that doesnt need to smoke my way through every stop light. I'm well aware that chicks dont actually dig that!

I was not saying that....What I am saying is you are double stacking timing, duration and such. The quad box is top notch, but if you are running anythin other than PRESSURE only you need to run even numbers on the smarty.

I updated the Smarty last night to 4.11 Mild TQ. I just checked on Quad's site, and it looks like they have quite a few tunes to try also - The Race Stack (Pressure only), and the Race Stack with City MPG look interesting to me. When stacked with the Smarty, will I need Boost fooling? I'm unsure at this point.
One other thing that sucks....Quads instruction say that their update program isnt compatible with Vista. Really, Vista's been out now for what, 2 years? And you pretty much can't buy a PC without it. Just a little Rant....

I had it out for a very short drive this afternoon - loaded SW#2, and ran the X2 on level 3. Man, I'd forgotten how good the low end is with the Smarty (or maybe I should say how pathetic the low end on the X2 is!). Initial impressions are - no timing rattle (expected that), there is smoke now - but it doesnt seem quite as bad as I used to have running on SW3. One quick romp on it looked like about 30 lbs boost. I'll have to clear out the Commander and record peak(s) to see what they are actually looking like.

I also did the pressure stack. sw3 mod tq, quad x2 on 2.I agree the low end is great and the x2 picks up in the mid to high range.on mod.tq under wot the tq converter slipped once so. for now I will try another setting maybe like the setting you are trying. did you tq converter slip at all at your setting? right now I put truck back to stock and I am trying the city milage setting to see if milage goes up. am at half a tank and over head reads 24 mpg.at 350 miles I know the over head will be off, so when I fill up I will hand calculate.
