Your '08 Out-The-Door Price?

Thinking very, very hard about getting me a new 2008 2500 6.7 4x4 quad-cab SLT 6spd (on the fence between auto and manual) 4.10s (gonna run 35s), and I'm just wonderin what yall's out the door prices were like, and about how much a month it setting you back if you financed it.

Been to two different dodge dealerships, and for two trucks configured in the exact same way, the price ranged from $36,995 and $41,300... Got me scratching my head lol...

Or should I just wait it out a couple more months and look forward to the 09's?

only the half ton is changing for '09. an out the door price can be misleading, as taxes, registration, title, etc. are different in all states. i bought my truck for a shade over $10k off the msrp (which was $49,500) not including ttl.

I'm sure it's different for everybody. Kinda makes it hard to narrow it down.

I had a trade-in (F**d) that was in great condition that brought me a lot towards the truck I have now.

I was more concerned about the monthly payment than anything else.....as we all do, I think. After a week of "playing the game"......I got what I wanted.......a **** nice truck for the same low monthly payment I had on the F**d. The new truck was way more expensive than what I was looking for so I feel that I got a great deal.

Use the thinkbank.com loan calculator if your want to know your monthly payment. They also have the best rates around. I've been using them since they were think credit union (financed 3 vehicles)

My truck is in the rail system now and actually went right by my house. I should take delivery any day now.

The truck is an 08 3500 Mega Laramie, SRW, Auto, 4x4:

Trailer tow mirrors (power)
Sunroof
Cab lights
SRW option

....every option but bucket seats, navigation, and side curtain bags.

Negotiated price = $43,663 +Tax +Title +$150 doc fee +7 weeks and counting for delivery. PM me if your interested in dealer info.

Mine out the door was just a shade under $42K. I ordered mine early in the 08m model year so I didn't get the nicer incentives that they have now.

I think you're better off buying towards the end of the model year when they start to offer deeped discounts unless you need one now or want specific options that you cannot find on the lot and you need to order.

08 3500 SLT 4x4 QC LB 6.7L Manual
Power Trailer Tow Mirrors
SRW Option
Tow Package
Protection Package
Limited Slip Rear End
Cab Marker lights
Preferred Option Package
Block Heater
U-Connect
Fold Flat Rear Floor
Power Adjustable Pedals

A typical deal is invoice, less whatever the incentives are, less 1/2 the hold-back, plus your taxes, license, etc. Good luck, I really like my truck.

Thanks for all the info yall. Yeah, I think I'm gonna go the route of waiting towards the end of the model year for those better deals. Just hope the ol 12v will last till then without me having to dump too much dough into it!

I'm really hoping to keep the payments around the $600-650 monthly range with no down payment (saving that money for the 12v). We'll see how it goes. If anything, maybe I'll wait for the 09's to arrive to drive down the 08's price a couple thousands. Especially if the 2500/3500 aint gonna change to that new body style (which I'm not too fond of) for a few more years...

I got mine for 37.300 for a long bed 4x4 SLT auto power pedals, power rear slider tow pkg with power tow mirrors and such. paid the tax and title seperate when I registered it in state.

I got mine pretty cheap because I knew what a particular dealer was askin for the same truck in Kellog Idaho. I had every intention of going up there to pick it up but wanted to test drive one first. Went to a dealer in Roseville ca. and test drove it. He started giving me the song and dance about wanting to sell it TODAY!! I told him I had a price in Idaho and after about 10 minutes of back and forth they came within 700.00 of it. 700.00 is about what it would have cost me to drive home with it so we took delivery a week later.
BTw, the truck I bought had a sticker of 47.500 with an aditional markup to 54,000

I think I did pretty well

Dog gone. Those are some good deals. Both dealerships I went to are those "One simple price, no negotiations, we're on salary not commission, pay the price on the sticker" places, so they don't seem very flexible... Cause if I could pick up exactly what I want for 38500ish out the door, I'd be a very happy camper. Hell, if I can walk away with it for even less, so much the better! Haha...

Call up Dave smith motors and see what they can do for ya. They should pay your flight out there and then you get to learn your new truck on a couple day journey home. They are straight shooters who do not try and soak ya. My Mom bought her 07 Mega from them and could not have been happier. I had every intention of buying mine there but a dealer made me an offer I could not refuse!!
