Would you buy this truck??
I found a 2007 3500 DRW, SLT, 4x4 with the 6.7 in it with an auto tranny (6 speed I assume) It is in mint shape with 154,000 miles on it. They are asking 21,500 for it. It is a Texas truck so there is no rust. Sound like a good deal? Should I be scared of the miles? Thanks
Just had a buddy of mine buy one almost exactly like this. Says the truck runs like a champ. You just have to look at it, get the carfax and find out what has been done to it from Dodge by the VIN. Drive it for a day, see how it feels. Don't be worried about the miles, as long as it was taken care of.
That's right in the ballpark of what I just paid for my 07. That's more miles than mine but as long as the carfax and everything else checks out I wouldn't be afraid of it. When I was looking at mine Blake gave me some good advise and recommended among other things that you look for a cel and make sure that both the trans shifts smoothly and that the engine brake works, as long as that checks out you should be good......I know I have no regrets over mine.

If it has that high of mileage and its still running good, you got a winner.
If it had the Bluetec Blues, it would have given up a long time ago.
Check for the usual run of things.
On the 6.7 take a look at my delete thread and check for the tattletales of mods.

Make sure the tranny shifts smooth and in tow haul it downshifts rather sharp. This is to keep the RPM's up to work the exhaust brake.
Make sure the exhaust brake functions.
If all that checks out and it passes your usually inspection, youre good to go.
