yes, the emissions systems are the same between those years. the asking price may be the same as other '07 models, but with the buyback status you should definitely get a GREAT deal on it compared to other 07's! and i wouldn't be asking if the emissions system has been changed, but rather if that is why it was bought back. and also, don't believe a f^@*ing thing the salesman says. get a printout of the warranty repairs that have been done to it. that will show you for sure.

I believe the emissions systems are the same on the trucks. I heard the intercooler is smaller and the pistons are different so the engine runs hotter and doesnt clog up dpf's. Thats just what I heard when I asked a friend of mine that works at the local dealership.

08 buyback ?

Hey guys I just looked at an 08 2500 6.7 diesel STS megacab, it was a buy back because of stalling due to no regen problems. dealer now says it's fixed. Truck has 15k miles, asking 35k for it, I like it but after reading these forums I'm a little worried about droping the $. Anybody have any 08 buy backs ? Does it sound like a good deal, dealer said he could do better if I'd sit down with hime but I hate the BS. Thanks in advance for any input.

wow, for an sts i'd be thinking in the high 20k's. maybe 27k-29k. what does a new one (same model and options) go for? take that number, then subtract 12k-15k for what you can take off a new sticker right now, and then another few grand for being used. so maybe 15k-18k less than a comparable new one.
