Why isn't the '07 6.7 called a '07.5?

Why isn't the '07 6.7 called a '07.5?

Not that it makes a difference, but everyone here distinguishes between a '04 & an '04.5 because the '04.5 had a little more power, tighter emissions, etc. Did they start putting in 6.7s mid-year? If so, why not refer to these as '07.5?

They do! The 6.7 is known as a '07.5.

OK - thanks. Don't read the 6.7 board, and have not seen it reffered to that way.

Yep, the 6.7 started production January 1, 2007 and the 5.9 stopped production December 31, 2006. That is the reason for the 07 being a 5.9 and the 07.5 being a 6.7
