wait to start light

Went to start the truck this morning, 60 degrees out. Noticed when I turned the key that there was not a "wait to start" light on. I waited about 10 seconds and it started right up. Is this normal?

Yes, It only operates when the ambient and engine conditions require it to operate.

Mine only comes on if the ambient temp has dropped down to about 50 or less
