TSB help and emissions

I need some advice regarding the problems I have had with my new truck. I purchased this truck 3 weeks ago and got a CEL at 130 miles, with the codes P1451 and P2463. They reflashed it! Three days later the CEL came back on and they verified the two codes and sent me on my way with an appointment a week later - they replaced part of the exhaust system. A week later the CEL came back on and I read the same two codes P1451 and P2563. I contacted the service manager and asked to bring it in the following morning and requested the details regarding software versions and TSB's that have been followed. Upon picking up my truck, they reflashed the ECM with TBS #18-009-07. They said this was just released. Previously my truck has had the following: #18-19-04-36,#11-50-02-91 and the rapid response #07-021 services.

I still do not know what software version I am using, and I do not see the recommended TBS # that I have read in this forrum. How do I get the detailed info as to what has been done to my truck? Can anyone help?

Tell us more about your truck. Also, look on the door and find the date of manufacture.

As a general note, if your ECM was reflashed, the dealer is required by Federal Law to put an emissions modification sticker in the engine compartment. My sticker is on the radiator support near the overflow tank. I also have a (different) sticker on my ECM which is on the passenger side firewall.

Sabersix,

2007 Ram 3500 6.7L built in May 07. 6-speed manual transmission 4X4. I asked about any "stickers" for what was in the ECM and the tech was "confused".

Actually the flash is for the PCM. That might have been the confusion. Print out these pictures and this TSB 18-033-07 and take to the dealer. NOTE: There is a different part number for 2500 vs, 3500 and auto vs. manual.

Cummins data logger

After many trips to the service department for CEL's (P1451, P2463, and P245A) and receiving multiple flash uprades and a new exhaust system. I convinced the service manager that guess fixing my truck based upon computer diagnostics without any data to support the error codes was no longer acceptable! I received a Cummins Data Logger the following week that monitors my truck and downloads the data to the Cummins Engineer. After seeing the errors happen and updating the Flash and calibrating my truck -- I have had no warnings or error codes. I hope that this trend continues.....
