Truck died
Truck died
This weekend my wife and I were out riding around and made a stop of about 30 min. After restarting the truck it ran ruff for a few seconds then died. I waited a few more seconds then tried to start it again and it took way longer that it ever has to fire. But once it started everything seems good. I even killed it and checked for codes then restarted. The tank was full and it has not done it again .
I have noticed that this 6.7 takes longer to fire than the old 5.9 but have never had this happen.
Anyone have anything similar?

Check/change the fuel filter, sounds like you may have gotten a slug of bad diesel.
Yeah though, my 6.7 takes about a light year to crank compared to my '90. Have turn of the starter and she fires off.
