The boost bolt is a hollow bolt with a barbed nipple that replaces one of the intake manifold bolts. Allows a somewhat easy installation for a boost line.

You can also monitor boost without any mechanical changes to the engine (like changing bolts) if you use a gauge system like the Quadzilla Commander. It uses and electrical tap into the ECM and picks it's data up from there. Just as accurate and it takes 2 minutes to install

Pyrometer installed pre-turbo pulling a 10000 lb. boat I'm seeing 1400 degrees during hard acceleration. After having the most current re-flash it has gone as high 1500 degrees during re-gen, non towing. Before the last re-flash the highest it would get during re-gen was 1400 degrees.
Anyone else seeing these high of numbers?

I am seeing egts 300-400 degrees higher than my 04. 500-600 at idle, 1100-1200 just cruising down the highway @ 1800rpm no load. During regen egts reach 1200-1300+ and it lasts for about 10 minutes and every 20 miles. I have 3000 miles with no problems and no codes. Truck runs awesome and the new 6 speed auto rocks. I just don't like the high egts and I haven't even pulled anything yet.

I drilled and tapped mine pre-turbo with a angle drill. It was a breeze, did it with the engine idling and grease on the drill bit and tap.
