Question tanny slips after setting all nigh

2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 6.7 L. I recently change my transmission oil and both filters replaced them with Mopar filters an +4 mopar oil. after trans. sets for a long period usually over night. the trans is slow to go in gear. droped pan to make sure that no o-rings were left and the the bolt on filter gasket was setted properly. I installed the small o-ring first and then the filter and it was seated properly.

I have had that happen in the past on my 96 12 valve. from what I was told that the torque converter is draining. Kinda sounds weird to me on such a new truck. How many miles on the truck?

I have 74,000 miles. Dealer say the clutch drums have a weep hole and depending on where it stops it will drain down

my 08 started doing that exact same thing right after I changed tranny filters. 20k miles later it still does it, but not as much.

Start it in neutral and see if that helps.

The 68RFE will not lock the converter up or go into 6th gear until it sees a certain trans temp. When it's colder outside it'll take longer to lockup. This is totally normal

It is possibly the converter bushing on the pump showing normal wear. Start, drop to neutral for 30-45 seconds and see if that changes it.
The concerter will not fill in park, on a stock trans.

He's not talking about lock up. He's talking about intial get into gear and get yer a$$ moving. Mines been in the dealer for this also. They can't fix it. Last time they wanted to pull the trans out of it. I declined.

The tell tale sign is to pull the dipstick after it's sat a while. The trans fluid will be every bit of 2" high on the dip stick. All the fluid is draining out of the cooler back to the pan. The check valve isn't working correctly.

The dealer changed mine out, but after a thousand miles or more it's doing it again. So no hope for a true fix. It's completely normal.
