I have an 06' that smokes under heavy accel as well. No chip, bone stock. The smoke continues to lessen the more I accelerate. Also, if I get on it about once every few days, I dont have as much smoke. I think that it is perfectly normal.

my 06 was started smoking pretty bad this summer-thought something was starting to go wrong.
Changed the filters (fuel & air ) then hooked up to my trailer & went for a soot run.
Cleaned it out pretty good. Now, there is only a haze at while accelerating hard.

I would guess that your truck hasn't been worked hard yet in its first 35k. Go pull something heavy uphills & at hiway speeds.....get the thing hot & i'm sure you'll see an improvement!

I have had a 2005 Dodge 5.9 and when in stock in barely smoked at all. When I turned my bullydog to extreme it would blow smoke so bad you couldn't see 2 feet behind you. I would get this checked out.

Thanks fella's for all the responses, I'll check the intercooler boots and go on one of those "soot" runs and see what happens.. I do know the truck hasn't been worked very hard or run hard it's entire life, so maybe she just needs cleaned out a bit.

My 06, smokes at anything over half petal. I would check all the filters & put some good fuel cond. in it. It should clear up after a few seconds or so. I have a small towing box on it now & I don`t think it smokes any more than it did stock.

Checked the intercooler boots, they are all intact and in good condition, no leaks. Took the truck on a "soot" run and by the time I was done I was only getting a slight haze under hard acceleration. I did notice however a slight shudder or vibration under accleration at around 80 or so; is that the dreaded "death wobble" I've been reading about? At first I thought maybe tranny but after reading some of the post on here I'm not sure it isn't the front end.

No kidding? Read post #3 and #20 . Thought the post should be moved or a new one started in the correct area. The 6.7 in supposed to be the non-smoking section .
