I went to the track yesterday and there was a guy there with bigger turbos than i have and he didnt smoke as much as i did.. Is there a way i can change my wastegate to have the bigger turbo spool faster.. If i turn it to positive what happens and vise versa?

 

First and foremost

u might wanna put that fuel plate back in there.. you are risking damagin that injection pump with what you are doing.. Yes you can adjust your wastegate, it is reccomended that it open at 24 psi, which is what mine was wastegated to, it would hit 30 psi then drop to 24 psi as it gated, I verified this the night before i installed my twins... do that for the best performance.. if even your nitrous dont clean ur smoke, just put ur plate back in there and afc and plate tune ur truck, ur probably puttin out the fire anyways...

Again i state.. "IF fuel plates are such a bad thing, then why do all of the big power guys run em?" dont believe me? jim fulmer 870 rwhp with a six plate.. i rest my case...

alright... so a fuel plate will still make a difference even if the pump is gutted? How do i adjust the wategate... in the + direction this will make it open sooner or later? will i loose hp if i move the afc and smoke screw around?

 

Off subject but when did Jim hit 870?? Last dyno he hit 7XX i have seen him hit in the 800's but not at the last dyno?>

But also i do agree about putting the plate back in.

 

is there anyone in the michigan area that could tune my truck?
