The silent treatment

My 07 CC 4x4 CTD has never said anything on the consul after 10K miles. I changed the oil long ago but still haven't been asked to. I've never had anything about regen but realize that can be typical. I have no warranty so haven't got any flashes or contact with my dealer but haven't had a CE light either. Is this all normal? Thanks!

You saw the no warranty part right? The up side.... I saved $18000. The down side....all problems are mine, so I worry when my self help systems are a no show.

I think you have a similar truck to mine. Nice big bright red letters across the screen when the dealer puts my VIN in the system

Warranty Void Vehicle Imported

You saved about 4K more then I did. I have 119,000 on mine. Theres far more of these out there running good and providing good service then bad ones.

I haven't had the truck near my dealer so I haven't seen that pleasant message yet. I felt like a drug smuggler lying to Chrysler USA (so that they could get a much needed sale) and then going through a ton of work to get it legally imported. At one point I had failed the federal inspection and was out of options because my Mexican built truck (first VIN digit 3) has made in the USA on the door tag. That was good enough for the US market to prove it met their Federal safety rules but not Canadian rules. I had to crawl to Chrysler Canada and beg a letter from them which they surprisingly did quickly with pleasure. Maybe my extra savings was going through Dave Smith in Idaho or that my dealer is a bigger thief than yours.

I have a Canadian customer in your very shoes. He's been a great customer so I've updated his 6.7 ecm, ccn, and tipm for......BEER! He also saved around 15k on his new truck purchase.

.....from personal experience with the early build 6.7's (built before nov 08) I would recommend getting at least your ecm and ccn updated....even if you have to pay for it. I had a bunch of local problem children trucks and the "net zero" fueling strategy of the new updates has made them all happy no check engine light CTD owners.

A good guy! What part of our barren wasteland are you located? What does a ecm and ccn update cost? I have no cel or other issues.
