rotella oil filters ?

Was at Wallyworld and bought 2 Mopar cummins oil filters. I noticed Rotella marked oil filters---ARE THEY ANY GOOD? They are nice and pretty/bright yellow.
Just curious as I don`t want to take any chances with filtration?

Sooooooooooo-is it same quality as the Fram ultra/extra.

Safe for 5.9-6.7 Cummins?
Risk.................

Diff between the MOPAR/Cummins oil filter and Fram.

Sorry, I wouldn't risk it on mine.

Mopar or Fleetguard for me, matter of fact, Fleetguard for the past many years.

The few extra bucks it has cost has more than been repaid by the ease of mind.

From the BTOG forum I wouldn't run the Rotella branded oil filter.

In fact the Fram Ultra has been getting very good reviews and the tear downs showing high quality components being used so I wouldn't be afraid to run the Ultra on the Cummins. IIRC it's a 20um.

From day 1 on my 2008 6.7L I have used Mobil M1-403 filters, $12.99 on Amazon and Mobil Delvac 1300 15w-40 diesel motor oil. The SAE oil rating required by Chrysler is the lowest rating of 5 on this oil. This filter holds 1 qt of oil. Make sure you fill it up before installing it. I have complete peace of mind with Mobil products. If you compare, you may find the M1-403 better than the Mopar or Fleetguard.

All I run is donaldson oil filters, get them at Freightliner, they handle cummin`s engines, rated very high, and about $9 bucks.
