Have you noticed if yours idle differently when it's regenerating?
A huge diff at idle. 800 rpms and egts 900 truck shakes and stumbles like it wants to quit, you can deffintly tell its in regen I have a chip that tells me when it is regenerating. I think that is what is happening to you it is regenerating. I think I seen some little company had a box you plugged in and all it did was tell you if it was regenerating or not. I will see if I can find it.

Exactly! It acts like some old carbureted cars when you blipped the throttle real hard, it would take them a while to settle into their regular idle.

It happened again tonight as I pulled off the freeway. At least I know what's happening. Definitely reminds you of the phrase, "Dodge makes it, Cummins shakes it"!

TCM is an integral part of the ecm, but still has a separate flash updates.

there is actually right now 2 different part #s related to the AU flash, I did one and then the next day the part # had changed but it stil had the AU suffix after the part #. I contacted STAR and they told me that yes it is different than the other one but not by much.

This is quoted by a tech from dodge bigtxdually

I had my 02 module and flash done today,I was gonna bring it in because its been kinda doggie lately.I have 7500 miles and it hasnt been running as good as when it was new, so anyway i get the recall done and i take off from the dealer and first thing i notice is the exaust brake is on at idle full bore.So i turn around to go back to dealer and im goin about 25 through town when the truck bucks really bad and we thought we got hit from behind it was that bad.But after that exaust brake worked normal. I documented this with dealer and i was on my way home.Im live about 200 miles from the dealer. The mileage is better, and shes back to full power so im happy with it.

I went in yesterday and had the sensor module/reflash recall performed. I was in and out of the dealership within 1 hour. The tech told me that he replaced the module but that I already had the correct flash revision and no update was required.

There have been reports on this forum that the flash with this recall is totally new and it makes the truck maintain active regen at an idle. If the tech is being straight with me, that doesn't appear to be the case, otherwise he would have updated my flash. I am running on the AU flash that was installed 2-3 months ago to address the P0245 EGR CEL code.

I can't notice any difference in the way the truck runs or performs since completing the recall work. And, I haven't had any CEL's or problems since the AU flash was installed back in late August.
