Question where to reprogram

i called the dealer and they want 69.95 to reprogram the tire size in my computer so my speedo will be right. is there anywhere else that can do it? i hate to give them 70 bucks to do 5 min of work when i can spend that 70 bucks on my straight pipe kit.

Try another dealer.

Or, take it in for a oil change or something, and ask them to do it then.
A lot of them will do it for free, since you're already in and they are making some money off you.

i called two dealers yesterday. the first dealer whom i bought the truck from said it was an hour job and it would cost me 60.00. also told me they could only go up to 285,s and i have 315,s. they had never heard of the other menu. the second i called said to bring it in whenever it was conveinent for me and they would do it free. so i took it right in and had it reset for 599 rev. per mile in 5 miniutes with the same tool the other dealer had. it must just depend on if they want to help a guy or gouge him. the dealer i bought my truck from has just lost all my buisness. ill drive the extra 40 miles to get service with a smile.

thanks, mooseman
