Does any one have the step by step instructions on how to set the speedo? I tried search but couldn't find what I was looking for.
TIA

The dealer can do it, or you can purchase an adjustable box made by Superlift (I think). If you were running a Superchips or a Hypertech (Is that right?) you can adjust it with one of those programers.

I took mine to the dealer. It was like $25.00 bucks or so. I had to tell them how to do it though, so I should have about the charge, but they have been real nice about some other stuff, so oh well.

You can the the adjustable box here:

Yeah, I know all the Superlift, Jet etc...adjustable boxes but I just wanted the dealer to program the biggger tires, it's been 2 yrs. since I had the last 1 done and I couldn't remember how it's done to tell the dealer, the dealer couldn't figure it out!!

I read thru those but still didn't say exactly how to set it. The tech got into there and was stumped at what to do at the tone ring screen, I believe it asked how many teeth to enter and no one knew the answer. He then just gave up.

In the second link firestorm posted, from what I can tell and from what I remember, there is a ABS menu. Under the ABS menu, there is an option for the factory offered tire sizes and an other option. Under the other option you can enter the revs per mile for your tire. If I recall mine were 619. i hope this helps.

Revs per mile doesn't always work. I've found the best way is to use a GPS and mess with the tone ring values.

Man I thought it was rather easy, the tech and I played around with the scanner till we found the ABS menu then found the revs per mile typed in my 550 and VIOLA!! My speedo is right on now.
Didnt cost me a thing but I knew him. I asked what he would charge some one and he said it would probably be a $40.00 shop charge which is way better than a $125.00 Superlift speedo box.
Take a chance and call the dealer. It's a no brainer.
