Question Question about flashes

My truck ahs the Av flash on it right now and is running fine. So with that should i have it flashed to the Ay one or should i just leave it alone. So far the truck runs great and has not given me any problems yet. I checked the servive history on my truck and here is what i found.
Had the G30 recall done at 600 miles
HAd a new ECM installed at 6,000 miles and nothing after that. My truck now has 12,300 miles on it. So i am glad that so far i did not buy a used lemon.
Can anybody tell me what the diffrence is between the Av and the Ay flash?? thanks Mopar72

Have you tried the EGR unplug yet? If you have and it's running fine, then I'd leave it be. If not, then unplug it and see what the truck does. If it runs fine, then stick with the AV flash. If not, then take it in for the AY and then unplug EGR. I'd use this as the only reason for getting the update as the unplug will gain you AND make your Cummins powerplant oh so happy! There's much written here about those who have done it, including myself and have been totally thrilled with the results!! It was one of the later flashes that made the EGR default to closed (no EGR) as opposed to open, making the unplug possible. Not sure which one it was.. could have been AV or earlier.

I have been diligent about getting the new flash when it is available. My opinion is that the flash is put out for a reason, so I get it done. Others say "if it ain't broken"...

I haven't really noticed any difference in the way the truck runs between the flashes. Completely stock. 15/18 city/hwy MPG.

After I had the AY flash performed on my truck the EB seems to be a little more aggressive and remains on at lower RPM's, which makes me happy.
