light on/off it runs the same regardless... only performance issue i've noticed that may be related is sometimes my exhaust brake will stick ON... as in I give it throttle & its still trying to brake & i've had my exhaust brake engage when the switch was off.... dealer said new turbo will hopefully solve that too

Well I to have had the ongoing 2262 and 245a codes, so far three trips to dealer, on my way to work, and all that has happend is that I have got new software twice. Today I went in and agian the same two codes, watched the tech with the start scan and he did some tests and said that he thinks it needs a turbo but they woudl have to check with chrylser inorder to get one. then after I left the truck had no power and the e-brake would not work. They said that they had nothing to do with that, I kinda dont belive them but oh well. My question is has anyone had the turbo replaced and the code not come back and how long have you driven. I am about to move across the USA with my 40' goose and realy want to have a good preforming truck and I defantly want the e-brake.
Thanks Jeff

My Dealership's service manager was on the line with Dodge yesterday. Right now (even with Rev B) there is NO FIX for this. The engineers at Cummins are busy programming a new flash and they're hoping to have that available for download by the dealerships by this weekend. If you have this p245a problem, you might want to wait a week or so and get the newest flash.

We'll see how long it actually takes to get this update...
If anyone hears about this new version being available, let me know.. The dealer has been "running diagnostics" for a day and a half and they are not exactly confidence inspiring...

Got my truck back last night. Seems they they left a bolt loose and it blew the egr cooler valve gasket(the reason for soot). Tech said since it was under warranty he replaced entire valve again. Said linkage looked a little worn. I believe that statment was for the paperwork.

Took my truck into service dept yesterday, they cleaned the temp sensor in intake and said that is all they can do for now. They told me a TSB will be released sometime next week with a new flash that is for this specific problem.

Well stick me in the 245A club. Went hunting this weekend and the MIL lite came on while headed home. I drove it 60 miles home with it on. I farted around with the key on-off and pulled the code. This was on Sat. Let the truck sit yesterday and this morning the MIL light was off. 40 miles to work and it has not come back on. Called the dealer and they said to drive it.

have you had your truck flashed with the newest AU version? If not, this version was supposed to address the 245A issue. If you have had the flash, then that it interesting

cel came on again. I talked to dealer and kept driving it for another ten days or so light went on and off several times. Anyways egr valve is hitting soundproofing under hood and finally knocking the sensor loose enough to set the cel off. Next time it happens they are going to replace valve and cut a hole soundproofing.

Have had same issues but about a month ago the EGR was cleaned for the second time and haven't seen the cel since. Put about 3000 miles on truck since then with 1500 pulling an 11m lb. trailer , no problem.
I hope I don't jinx myself with this post.

Good to hear that the new AU flash should cure the uncontrolled E Brake activation. I swear mine's done that a few times randomly.

Anyone find a pattern as to when the ECM throws the 245? I have gotten it twice now, both times was after towing the 10K# trailer for a couple hours and letting the truck sit over night. The next morning loping along at about 45mph at about 1200rpm, and the engine had just barely reaching operating temp.
My dealer scares me with their ignorance, so I won't bother until they actually realease an offical TSB... that hopefully covers more than just this issue alone.
