P245a
What do you mean am I pulling herc's with it? I pull an 18' lowboy with my jeep on dana 60's & 39" swampers strapped to it

I dropped truck off at dealership this morning, they called me around lunch, said they jsut got off the phone with dodge & they will have new software to flash the truck thats supposed to address the P245A & P2262 issues. Dropping the truck of tuesday... we'll see how this goes I guess...
yes, in the state of FL (not sure what state you're in)
3x same problem, submit formal request to dealership that you want to lemon law it, they get 10 days & one last final attempt at fixing the problem, if the problem can't be fixed they have to buy it back at the full purchase price minus a certain % for mileage (fair market value?)
i've done my research....
its been in 2x for P245A
sorry.. back on topic..
mines going in tuesday for new software flash from DC thats supposed to fix this problem....

Well got the truck back from dealership to fix the P245A code, I got it home w/no codes, but thats not saying much.
BUT my P2262 (no boost detected) code showed back up, dealership said a flash is on its way to address that problem & they are going to replace my turbo when they install that flash if that code comes back again
I discussed lemon law with the service manager, he said if it comes back again for the P2262 then i qualify for the lemon law twice over LOL. Although I would rather just have my truck FIXED, it's nice to know that he's on my side if i do decide to lemon it.
The tech questioned my GPS powerwire coming up thru the trim panel (gps in glovebox not installed in window thing) he assumed it was for a programmer. Glad we got that straightened out quick....

Dropped mine off for the second time for p245a. Also this time rh side of engine was covered in soot, air filter had soot also. Tailpipe had clean now full of soot. I will see what they say about all this. I have almost 11000 miles. Never any performance issues. Truck runs great.
Mine was at the Dealer's Monday for the 4th time for the p245a code , they also found code p2262. They cleaned the egr valve again and cleared codes , told me if p2262 showed up again the Turbo would be replaced.
They told me Dodge Tech advised to run with the Exhaust Brake on , which I do , but I can't believe that's necessary , if Dodge intended the brake to be on why wouldn't it be the default setting instead of having to activate everytime you start the engine?
I expect my engine light to activate within a couple weeks again , don't know what they will do then.
Have any of you gotten rid of this code for an extended period of time? Longest I've gone is 3 1/2 weeks. By the way I've never seen a differance in the performance of the truck and I have 8500 miles on.

I had the p245a code reappear after having all the flashes done (through TSB 18-033-07 Rev B).
My Dealership's service manager was on the line with Dodge yesterday. Right now (even with Rev B) there is NO FIX for this. The engineers at Cummins are busy programming a new flash and they're hoping to have that available for download by the dealerships by this weekend. If you have this p245a problem, you might want to wait a week or so and get the newest flash.
We'll see how long it actually takes to get this update...

You & I are in the same boat my friend, my dealer told me if hte light comes on again the turbo would be replaced (that was at 1630 yesterday)... I just left the dealership with a turbo on order at 1400 today.
After yesterday's flash, the P245A EGR code hasnt returned (yet)... now we've got the turbo on order to fix the P2262 code
