P2299 question

i just bought an 08 3500 mega dually 6.7L 68 RFE and it shows the code P2299 Brake Pedal Position / Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible. I am correct in my assumption that that someone had their feet on both pedals at the same time or is it more complex than that?

Thanks in advance

That is certainly possible. I've had the "lightening bolt" come on before as I think I bumped both pedals. Restarted truck and it was fine. Try clearing the code and check for it down the road.

I did the same thing with my 5500 trying to spot a trailer on the side of the hill..

Just unplug the batteries to clear the codes, you should be fine..

Yes I concur. Had seen it happen on a 06 5.9 when someone tried to powerbrake it. Or in other parts of the country braketorque it. You know when you stand on the brake and smash the accelerator to do a massive burn out.

As stated, clear it out and see if it returns.

Mine set a code for the same thing and the dealer told me not to move the pedals while the truck is in motion. Never even used that feature
