Question Oil Change Indicator

I recently changed my oil. Less than 200 miles ago. The change oil indicator has come on three times since the oil change. What gives? I have a 2008 6.7 with 40,000 miles on it. The truck is bone stock, no mods. On another note my fuel mileage has gone down the tube since a dealer replaced the turbo and reflashed the computer 8000 miles ago.

Just a random thought. Have you checked your batteries? Mine did all kinds of strange things when one of my batteries started to go. I seem to recall the Oil change indicator going off.

I agree with JT. I had to replace a bad passenger side battery earlier this year for the same reason. I was having the lightning bolt lamp and CEL come on each time I started the truck on a cold morning. Also had a strange rattling sound under the dash while starting. And if I recall, my oil change indicator was coming on too soon, also. I also recently replaced the other battery. Both are from Auto Zone (the batteries with the red tops).

So it decided not to start two nights ago. 15 degrees at 3 am. I removed all of the terminal cleaned then etc. Starts fine now same temp out side. Still have the oil change light coming on. I am going to go get the batteries tested and see what they say. Thank you for your help.
