oil brand prefrence?

I know I need CJ-4 oil but which flavor? Delo, Rotella, Castrol? Does it matter? Costo has the Delo just a little cheaper than Wal-Mart. Thanks.

They are all good. This thread, like so many before it, will start an oil brand war.

There was a poll a while back that showed about 40ish percent of the DTR members who voted used Rotella 15w40. All the others, including synthetics, shared the rest.

I use Rotella with Fleetguard Stratapore filters changed every 5k.

IMO, the important thing is to pick a major brand and change it regularly on a schedule.

On edit...here is an example of a poll taken a while back....https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=62163

These 3, Chevron Delo 400, Valvoline Cummins Blue and Mobil Delvac are the best dino oils to use in your engine.
