my dealer has offered me a free oil change

are they required to use mopar oil or do they use what ever brand they want to buy

if it is mopar do you know who makes it

used delo in my 02 and wanted to use same in my 03

 

Pretty much whichever oil they make a deal with the distributor for most likely.

The dealer I take mine to has 3 oil options for the Diesel.
Delo (I think, I remember seeing a chevron logo), a synthetic blend (rotella maybe), or full synthetic (not sure on brand).

I guess I'll have to pay attention next time I take it in.

Best bet is to ask, I'm sure the "free oil change" doesn't include the more expensive oils.

Dealer that did mine used rotella.

 

Dealer that changed mine uses Shell Rotella.

 

My dealer offered Shell Rotella as well. Not sure if its on DC's approved list but I do not see how it can be an issue it the dealer choose to use it.
