Just had mine in for re-flash

Went in with cel had the reflash done. service manager came out and i asked what reflash i was on now. Just had it reflashed Dec 3rd. He told me that the flash changes from week to week. that they just update to the latest software available. Is he blowing smoke or is there truth in this. My paper work say's I've had the g-30 recall, but give no hint of what flash I'm on. No stickers under the hood anywhere. Would like to know what's really going on there. Any answers would be greatly apreciated. Just had it flashed on friday the 11th.

I had the G-30 and AV previously... I just had my truck in for some service and had a CEL for the P245A and P0161 codes... I asked about the latest flash (AW) and they said the same thing to me... that they checked and I had the latest (even though I told them AW was the latest). They made it sound like their proceedure is to check for flashes relating to my CEL issue and the latest for such was the AV (like the AW is related to an issue that I'm not having with my truck). I still don't know what the AW is for other than it is the "latest"... Hence, I'm still at AV.

The TSB has not been released yet stating what it covers(aw). The only way you can tell for now that a new level is avail. is when a direct download flash is being performed & you see the ecm part # change to a number you've not seen before. Its takes a few weeks for the official tsb to surface

Thanks, that's what it sounded like from the dealer. They didn't see anything new yet when checking/downloading... I guess it'll have to wait for the next round of CEL's...

I read one post else where about the AW flash and he was not happy after as he now has poor mpg and trans shifting weird and a few other thing I don't recall. So be careful and wait until more info is released about the AW flash.

Was that about the AW or the G-30 & AV flash? I thought the MPG issue was after the recall...

I've had the AW flash for a few hundred miles. No problems. I skipped the AV flash altogether. Can't really tell any difference...

I read on the TDR that the AW was "pulled" off of the shelf. A few service managers that I have spoken with in the last few weeks have yet to see any info concerning this part number?
