getting rid of the DINGER!!

I am sure this has been covered, but I have not found the thread, I want to get rid of the seatbelt dinger. I hate that thing, sometimes I am only going a short distance pretty slow and hate having to put my seatbelt on. So if someone knows how to disconnect that I would greatly appreciate hearing how. I have an 07 dodge 6.7

Thanks

There is a procedure that your owners manual describes to turn off the feature. Don't remember completely but something like turn on key, than rapidly buckle and unbuckle seatbelt 3 times leaving buckled (or unbuckled) then shut off key and dinger is disabled. Above procedure may not be it but look in your manual and it will tell you how to do it.

Here's the procedure...

1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any position except ON or START, buckle the driver's seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait for the seat belt warning light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

That only leaves the seatbelt light in the dash. I got rid of that with by unplugging the harness below the driver's seat and inserting a modified spade connector "jumper" in it wrapped with electrical tape. No more annoying seat belt light in the dash. It eliminates the horn honk with the truck in reverse and your door open too...

I wish Chevy had that option. We have 3 trucks on the ranch, all chevys. Luckily, seat belt extenders stop it, but a turn off feature would be better.
