Anyone now what the latest flash is and what problems it is supposed to address? The dealership flashed my truck today and they really don't have a clue what for. Imagine that! Any help is appreciated!

I believe the latest flash for 2007.5 is AX. 2008 has two flashes based on the tranny type (AM & AP ??).

Not sure what is being addressed, but you can be sure it had to do with the emissions.

Well I took it in because the milage has went from about 13 mpg to 8 on the last two tanks. My 1977 ford with a 428cj gets 12 with the price of fuel 8 mpg doesn't cut it. I only drive about 10 miles a day but it is at 55 mph. I also have noticed the smell of the regen a lot more and a harsh "bucking" when letting off of the gas with the eb on. I have had one cel for a battery temp sensor. Other than that the truck runs great I have never had a problem with the dpf or anything. The dealers fix was to flash it!!

That is about all the dealer can do it seems. Your mileage does seem exceptionally low though. Did the flash help? If it continues to be poor, you may have a leaky injector. How is the oil level? You might want to get an oil analysis at your next change interval to check for fuel dilution.

The eb bucking is normal. My bucks at low speed when the truck is coasting below 1100 rpms and downshifts which raises the rpms above 1100 causing the eb to activate abruptly. It should work better in tow/haul mode.
