Newest flash looks promising!

I just got AW flash and a tsb for erratic or harsh shift on the tranny. I drove about 150 miles today in the snow in 4 wheel drive and when I got home the evic said 18.7 which I know is not the most accurate but before it was 12.3. I saw one regen because the overhead was reading 21.5 and went down to 16.5 for about 15 minutes and then worked its way back to the 18.7. I was driving pretty slow because of the snow (45 TO 55). I covered a mountain pass in oregon that ranges from 4775 ft to approx 600ft. I was pretty excited about seeing over 20 mpg even on the evic. I hope this isn't a fluk

Will do, I don't drive a lot though. I am on of those owners that does everything they tell you not to do with our new trucks. I drive pretty much all city only 4 miles to work and I idle it for at least ten minutes every morning to warm it up. I do use the EB all the time and I plug it in at night. I only have 2900 miles with no problems yet. (knock on wood).

I'm taking my truck in tomorrow for some previous minor issues. I'm going to ask about getting the AW since I have the AV and the recall done. I too drive short distances to work. However, 50+% of my 2K miles has been towing...

What was the AW supposed to address over the AV?

I'm hoping for SOMETHING better in MPG since it drinks like fish...

Anyone know if the AW applies to the '08s as well? Those numbers you posted are making my eyes twinkle. If i could pull half of the gains you saw hand calculated i would dance a little happy dance in the streets...

AM vs. G30

How do the two updates relate to one another?

G30 is the recall code for the 02 module. As part of the recall work, the dealer will update the ECM to the latest version of software. Currently AW for 07 and AM for 08.

I would think you should get it done and up to date, especially if you've all ready have a turbo replaced... The letter are the revision to the software they pretty much go alphabetically. A while back the latest was AU, then with the G-30 recall it was AV, and now it is AW for the 2007 trucks. Next is most likely AX...

My 08 was updated at purchase time (11/16/07). It now has 5500 miles on it and has run flawlessly, the only issue I had was a "catalyst 80%" after driving on the ranch for two days. Then before I got back to blacktop it said "catalyst full see owners manual". I just hammered it when I got to the black top and by the time I hit 80mph the overhead said "system ok", and I have never had another issue.

So should I get it flashed? I will be at the dealer for an oil change this coming week.

westexhunt, what kind of cupholder? The ones in the floor stink. I'm looking for one for the front of the console.

The aw addresses the erronious codes generated from the av software update & yes there will prob be at least 1 more.Every 07 owner needs to have the latest & greatest-last release was about 2 weeks ago
