I have 24,000 miles on my cab/chassis and I love my truck. The mileage has been terrible 8.7 mpg towing 13k and 13.8 just driving around unloaded. My unloaded interstate mileage would reach 15mpg. Mileage is improving. The only real problem I'm having is a bad driveline vibration at 73 to 76 mph. Chrysler is having an engineer come and put sensors all over my truck to find the problem. They have replaced the driveshaft, front hubs, front driveshaft, and axles. Has anyone heard of this problem before? There must be others because the engineers don't just come out and test out your truck.

Oooooookay, that makes sense,, I guess.
Now I wonder why they had the two incorporated into one unit
on the C/C and two seperate units on the P/U.

And the parts guy in Wyoming was definatley wrong
because we acutually discussed the subject fo a couple
of few minutes.

Well now it all boils down to "that I really am lucky" that I have had no
problems with my motor. Knock on wood.

I added up the four top questions about "milage" and they
ciphered too 96.66%

The other questions don't pertain to milage,, just other questions about
your truck..

Guys, I created the poll and I am the first to admit I am not a professional pollster or creator of questionairres. Plkease feel free to create your own list of questions and create a poll. It's fairly east to do but keep in mind you are limited to a maximum of 10 questions per poll.

I realized I forgot to have a "no problems at all" category right after I posted it. Sorry. For those that have any mileage above 15K, the 15K + category is where you should mark.

Interesting that we have 96 people have inputted to the poll but the mileage count only adds up to 93, guess some forgot to mark that area.

My conclusion from the poll is this: Out of 96 trucks only 9 are reported to have ongoing, unresolved issues. I would bet most of the trucks that had issues that are now fixed are from the earlier production run. I bet if we had a poll limited to trucks built after a certain date, like July 2007, you would see a much lower incidence of issues.

This is not definitive data, but it should help stop some of the inappropriate statements from the 5.9 crowd and the general rumours out there about "how bad" the 6.7's are.

I have had only very minor problems with mine and no issues after the initial flash was updated. I would have liked to have had a totally problem free truck. On the other hand, I have never had a totally problem free new vehicle, be it a Chevy, Ford, Dodge or foreign brand, whether it was gas or diesel, etc.

MtnTrucker,

I'd sincerely like to apologize for my suggestion
and criticism. It wasn't meant to be criticism
but it really was after I looked at it. You had every
right to be offended.

sorry again,
jerry

According to the poll about 90% of peolpe have had little problems but fixed. Everyone says dont buy a 6.7 look at all the problems. 100% of people that have problems let it be known. Probably 5% of people with no problems let it be known all you see is the bad we need to start posting more good things about our trucks, My dealer has sold quite a few and they have not had one back in for anything at all but reflash updates.

I had like my 6.7 alot but it was killing me on fuel mileage. I had put 8500 miles on it and I could not even get 400 miles to the tank. I know people say it need to break in but the first tank I had run in 5.9 I got 580 to the tank. If it was for the poor fuel mileage I would still be driving the truck.

We have around 4000 miles on ours. CEL came on twice, went out on it's own. No DPF issues. Not sure if it has the latest flash, I asked the dealer to do it back when we had the window tint done, they said that they updated it but I cannot find any evidence of it (no sticker anywhere).
We're getting around 17MPG just driving around town. Haven't been on any long trips yet. So far, it's been a good truck.

Just my observation,
and boiling the cabbage down,,,,to this point,,imo.

There has been about 140-150 6.7 owners that has taken the poll.

My only complaint about my truck so far has been the low
RPM that my G56/3.73 turns at highway speeds. That being
2200 rpm at 70MPH. That's a killer on fuel for a high milage work truck.
But there is no mecahnical problems in G56/3.73 complaint.

But the plus side to having the G56 Manual tranny for me so far is
that it appears from the poll to have 1/3 less problems than the
Automatic Tranny. I'd like to know what issues folks with the G56
6 speed manual have had to maybe help me in the future while on the road.

I am also surprised at the low 8% of folks with CEL/DPF problems that the dealer can't figure out a solution. From all the grumbling I am hearing
almost everywhere about the 6.7, I would have thought the % would be much greater than 8%. The 8% may be high but seems like the problems are about 80% sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I would gripe 100% if it was me
in that group.
And the same surprise on the low % of Turbo issues.
I would think that these poll numbers would be in the ball park with any new vehicle one buys,, especially a "first year out product" with new innovations.

I realize that all polls have a +/- % in accuracy, but even that factored in, it
still seems that all the hollering about the bad bad bad 6.7 is mostly exaggerated. Correct me if I'm wrong.

so after this poll, and my good luck on getting a 6.7 with no problems, I would
definately buy another 6.7 with no reservations. Maybe not one built before
June 13,, if that is the magic date between badens and goodens. Although my good one was made Oct 06 according to VIN plate.

sorry to get so longwinded, just sharing my observations.

jerry

Agreed, and no offense taken to your comments. I was simply saying that maybe someone else can come up with a better selection of questions that would make the poll data a little clearer.

I got so far 11,500 kms on my new o7 Dodge ; not a single problem , the truck behaves just like a dream. I get on average ~13 U.S. miles/gal [14.7 hwy] - but admittedly I hardly ever rev over 1500 rpm.
A/c worked adequately but the heater does a good job and fast.

Yesterday I changed the oil for the first time (dealer did the first ). Sticker says to grease the drive shafts every oilchange - alas , there are no grease nipples on any of the universal joints. :-))

I could not be happier with my 6.7L.

For what it's worth, I forgot to mention, that on a level stretch , at exactly 1500 rpm , she goes exactly 61 miles - has never changed one bit. :-))
