I have just 3K. The turbo on mine was replaced at 500 miles most likely due to a bad bearing. No other problems for me.

i am curious what problems ppl are having with the 6spd auto? The ONLY complaint i have is that when im driving around town with the Exhaust brake on and the truck is still cold, it does some harsh shifting and cant seem to make up its mind. But as soon as the truck warms up or i turn off the ebrake it drives normal...

You should have added how many times 'your' truck has been in the shop... I answered to poll to 'minor repair' but it has been to four different dealers and in the shop a total of 6-7 times........ for the "minor repair"......

over 18k miles on my cab & chassis, & no problems to date? it gets pulled hard & I try & drive it like I stole it when it's empty, so far so good, & mine has never even went into regen??? it goes into the passive regen's every couple hundred miles, but never the active regen that is shown on the overhead. & mine has never been reflashed either? thought about having the latest flash done, but if it ain't broke no reason to fix it I guess?????? my only complaint so far is the fuel mileage, it sucks big time!!!!!!! does anyone have the problem that i spoke of in my previous post? The tranny shifts wierd when the truck is cold AND the exhaust brake is on. Cant seem to make up its mind and kinda bucks in or out of gear until i turn the ebrake off or the truck warms up.

I bet that it wouldnt do that if i was driving more agressively but i drive it VERY VERY easy when its not warmed up yet.

any one have that problem besides me? Should i take it in?

Riddler-If you haven't had it in for all of the latest flashes, I would get that done. I seem to remember a symptom of hesitating and/or surging at certain RPM ranges that is fixed by the latest flash. Could be that is what you are experiencing and it is magnified when the truck isn't warmed up yet.

And yes, unlike my Ford's, the "wait to start" coil light doesn't come on unless it gets colder than 65 degrees. And then it only stays on for a moment. It did finally get down into the 40's a few nights ago. I started it up and turned the exhaust brake and high idle on, wow, it sounds like a cross between a jet engine and a Hoover vacuum on steroids! Anyone else hearing that on cold start-up? Once it warms up the jet/vacuum sounds goes away at idle.

lol thats funny.

I had the rev-b installed before i picked it up but i havent been in for the newest update yet (AU version i believe). I was told i had to have problems of some sort before they would do it. I guess ill just go in and complain about surging and see what that gets me.

edit... just got off the phone with local service dpt and have an appointment for tomorrow to hopefully get the latest flash installed. He asked what the issue was and i told him surging and that i was told by a friend at a dealer that there was a new flash out to cure this and naturally he says he hasnt heard of any new flashes. But imma take in the number and the picture of it pulled up on starscan incase they call b.s. We will see what happens...

I have latest PCM flash (version AU). My EB will act as you described when the engine is cold. I'd say your EB is fine, but I'd get the latest flash anyway. BTW - The day I took it in for the flash the CEL came on. I added the CEL to the list of complaints when I dropped it off. (P2262-low turbo boost) Three days later I had a new turbo installed!

That is the only thing about the 6.7 that i see as a potential problem in the future. I think the egr issues and the DPF issues will be worked out with programming but the turbo, in some cases seems to be a mechanical problem and not a software fixible issue like the rest... Dont wanna have to pay for one of those when the warranty expires...

Just over 5000 miles, no flashes, no codes, no emission issues. Only issue is with mileage could be better. Love the truck!

I'm still willing to bet that the majority of turbos being replaced are not true mechanical failures. I think the VGT vanes are getting sooted up and stuck or in many cases they are just false alarms. Thats why DC has put a hold on replacing any turbos unless you get approval from them first.

thats what i was thinking at first but i havent heard of anyone yet that had the code problem solved by anything other then a new turbo. Im sure they just are sooted up in some cases but im not sure they have a flash to fix that yet.
