New 6 speed auto?

I have the 07.5 and have about 29K miles and the tranny started to something weird a few weeks ago. when coming to a stop it seems like it down shifts hard right before I come to a complete stop. It feels like the tires will grab and let go right away or hop. Anyone else have this problem?

Other then that the truck has been great.

Thanks

No but it down shifts hard like it's in T/H mode when coming to a stop.

I just bought my 08 3500 dually and I have noticed twice that when slowing down for a stop that if my foot was on the skinny pedal, even just barely on it, then it dropped down one gear very harshly. I am watching it now to see if I have a problem. Less then 1000 kms on it

Talking

Would probably also help not to have foot on skinny pedal when slowing. I know it's hard cause I also am a two foot driver( left brake-right skinny) Just a suggestion.

I sometimes leave my foot just barely on the accelerator pedal while slowing to keep the exhaust brake from slowing me down too much. I do this while "timing" the light in front of me. No reason to race to the red light and have to start from a stop. If you see the light has been red for awhile, try to time it. It will save you alot of fuel. Just don't "jump the gun" cause there are way too many A-holes who run red lights.

I've noticed that if I am in manual selector mode and have it in 4th gear that it will sometimes do this. It never does it if I am in regular drive mode. It definitely does it in TowHaul mode with the EB on.......

I had the flash done this morning at my dealer and after a lot of in town driving since then the flash has worked great so far. Those having problems may want to have this done. Thanks again Sabersix for the help!

I had the hard downshift TSB done a couple of months ago, didn't really have much effect.
Today the tranny died ! Dealer says they can rebiuld or replace, but either way there are no parts availible, and no trannys. All are shown as back ordered.
This truck was off the road for 3 weeks in Sept waiting for a DPF, and now it's expected to be at least 3 weeks waiting for a tranny. I'll be getting another truck ( old and used) by Christmas.

Weird, this is one of the first that I've seen around here that have "died". Also, having back orders would seem to indicate that there is demand for them and they're being replaced???

How many miles and what do you tow?

Mine is kind of odd cold, but once its warmed up, seems fine. Has anyone gotten a TSB or recall for an '08?
