MPG since EGR unplugged

I have an 08 and i unplugged the egr the other day and my mpg went up 2 mpg and then a couple days later it went right back down to around 14.5-15. I was just wondering if any of you other guys unplugged it and it go up then right back down. I checked it by pen and paper so i know its right and not just by going by what the comp says. Just wondering if any of you had this happen.
