Lemon Law?

I live in Florida and just sent off my paper work to Lemon Law my 2007 Mega Cab. Have any of you delt with this first hand? Looking for some sound advise for someone other than "my brother's aunt's sister's neighbor had a hard time and it took 3 years!" I know it will take some time and will be somewhat difficult. I have read my lemon law book and a bunch of stuff on line. Any first hand help/advise will be great. Thanks!!!

I hope you get it done! I wish I could but they canceled my warranty when I imported it to Canada.

I would love to dump this piece of >>>> I now have to put a new DPF on for $2800.00 plus labor! It has 40,400 miles.

What a dissapointment!

Good luck and I hope you win!

I would flip out if I was you! That is not right to drop your warranty. That makes me want to get away from them even more.

I was mislead and obviously to blame for not checking further. Dealer told me I was OK - no problems - warranty will be fine

Why? There are other alternatives that cost a lot less then $2800.00.

They void it to disscourage cross border shopping. Kinda suck with our dollar being at par with yours and our trucks cost 30% more!

I though the DPF was made to be taken off and cleaned on a machine and then reinstalled on the truck just like the do for a Semi truck.

No, this truck has been one big pain in the @#%! One thing after the other, all the turbo issues, O2 's, EGR crap, the head lights flicker when its cold out. They have no clue on that one!Just all kinds of issues.Had enough.

Use to be the USA and Canada vehicles wern't even in each other systems.A USA truck taken into Canada dosen't even show in the system and vice/versa.No way to do warranty and get paid. Its a GREY market vehicle.Just like hiding a Volvo from Sweden in a container and bring it here.No differance in the country or manufactures eyes.

Bought mine May8/07, paid the 30% markup , watched the dollar surpass the US buck , felt hosed, watched US trucks stream across the border, for 2 months, Felt Really Hosed , never had it back to the dealer for anything , 27,000 trouble free, 16MPG avg. Kilometers later, read your post, funny , I don,t feel quite so violated , ( sorry). You saved $13000 , plus the interest on that dough.....I think you can afford the exhaust system.( or purchase some warranty from an insurer up here.)

hot tempered:

That issue with your headlights flickering when it is cold out is most likely the grid heaters cycling in the intake area to warm that incoming air to the engine. The grid heaters go on and off every few seconds until the truck is warmed up and they draw alot of amperage.

ALL of the Dodge/Cummins Trucks have done that since they have been built. Not trying to change you mind, just to let you know about it.
