Just towed for the first time with my 07'

Man do I need to bomb this thing!
My truck is still bone stock and is a dog compared to my old 99'.
I pulled my 22' enclosed car trailer today with a 2400lb car inside (total wieght was maybe 7100lbs), the acceleration from a stop is pathetic
Once up to speed it seemed alright but there was one or two long steep grades that it seemed it was struggling to maintain the 60 mph I was towing at.
The turbo seemed to have a hard time spooling (from what little I could hear), I hope these issues are just by-products of a restrictive stock intake and exhaust.
If this thing is 610 ftlbs, I must have had 800+ in the 99'

Stock '07.

My '99's in the classifieds and is a nimble go cart compared to my '07. The '99 is quicker with my popup camper than this thing is empty. Smarty's coming. The '07 is 250# heavier than the '99.

I think Mach 1.6's,DTT trans and Edge EZ might have something to do with it. 320rwhp& 675 torque v.s. our flywheel specs. I'm@8650lbs. now w/Northstar+wind resistance. Nice truck though.

You're prolly right about the 800 ftlbs.

I thought the same about my 06. Why won't this thing spool up? It seems to wait till 2500 rpm before it will launch.

Be patient, give it about 5000 miles while you wait for the performance modules to become available.

You won't be dissapointed

Hmmm, I just towed about the same load and this thing is just plain a Beast!!! My old 98 was a total dog compared to my 03 SO and that was a total dog compared to the 07. I didn't even turn the Quad box on because I wanted to see how it would pull. The HTB2 turbo really helps a lot I'm sure and that may be the reason...

Just out of curiosity, are you guys talking about the 07 5.9 engine, or the 6.7 engine.
