It was a 32 foot Pioneer Fleetwood Toy Hauler with a Polaris Ranger and 2 Quads. I would say somewhere around 11 to 12K.

Drove it up to Payson from Phoenix. What a blast. We only went for the day but I must say this little truck does better then my 1500 Q/C with the hemi!!

Love my CTD.

I guess I should have clarified that comment. No Way would I pull that with a Hemi. The toy hauler is one if my buddies and I've been bugging him to let me take it out.

I was just saying it's night and day from the hemi. The biggest thing I ever towed with the QC was a 15 foot trailer with 2 quads and a Polaris Ranger. It had plenty of power but I felt like I had to floor it up every hill.

Coparam, I've been to the cinders a few times, but am sure we will be going a lot more now.

I was surprised when I moved to Az. Some of the hills going to Flafstaff and Payson and up to the Rim are nearly as grueling as the Co. Rockies. About the only difference as altitude. They are a good test for any truck. Craig

That first big hill when you are going up the beeline was pretty steep. I wasn't sure what to expect as this was the first time I had towed with it, but it really did good. Going down that 6% grade was a little scary at first because I also wasn't sure how it was going to slow down. I put it in 2nd and it kept me right at 50. I have the prodigy as well.

tennman,. I never went over 75mph and we had the trailer loaded with the Ranger over the axles and then a quad in the front of the ranger and a quad in the back. There was only one time where I felt the trailer get pushed by the wind and had sway. Sunday we had a big wind storm in the East Valley and coming home I got stuck in it. I was coming over a hill and the back swayed some.

On several occasions I slightly jerked the steering wheel so I could see what it felt like if it happened and it really came back fast. I'm sure a 5th wheel would be even better, but I was happy with how it did. This is my first diesel. A lot of my friends have them but it's my first. We are in the market for a toy hauler and I was glad to have the chance to see what it was like before I got my own.

I've been looking at toy haulers and have pretty much decided on a 5er based on some reviews I have read about how well they tow.

I had heard of instances of severe sway with some of the pull behinds.

Thanks for your input, I'm sure it was helpful and interesting for others as well.

I hear you with the tow behind. I've never towed a 5th wheel but would really like to see the difference. What ones are you looking at?

Looking at the KEYSTONE COUGAR 310SRX.

Have not seen any around here, just on ebay.
Would like to see how my bike would fit in the cargo space.
This one is a side loader with minimum cargo area.
I would rather have the extra living space as long as the bike fits OK.

I just looked it up and it's nice.

I need at least 16 1/2 feet of storage in the unit for toys. That equals at least 30 feet for a tow behind and 34 for a 5ver. It kills me how much these toy haulers are. 35k to 40k with minimal upgrades. Then 60K to 70K for a nice one. I just don't want to buy one and then a few years later need a big one.
