Just purchased....

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. Just purchased an 07 2500 quad 6speed manual. So far(60mile commute to work today) I love it. I think I did OK on the deal: sticker $44,480, $14,000 for the trade and out the door financing $24000(no money down). I do have a question, on the drive in today I noticed an odor that appeared to smell like propane, is this normal?

I traded a 2001 F250 powerstroke XLT 137,000 on the clock. I went in the dealer with the attitude that I didn't need a truck and made it known to them. I'm at work now, but as soon I can I'll get some pics up. BTW what about the smell?

Mine did that the first day. I thought it came from the "new" exhaust. It just gets so hot under there. The engine seemed to have an odor to it also, but I don't remember it smelling like propane. Probably all the new paint on the stuff under the hood. The under hood temps seem alot hotter than my '00. The egr cooler and all the smog stuff gets rather warm.

OK, I'm sure it is normal. Money? I thought it was faith you needed a lot of I have read the posts on some of the issues people are experiencing , but I don't care. I feel it is still a great truck and plan on putting many miles on it.(Trouble free)

The smell is normal.

I've got the 5.9L and I often smell what seems to be propane.

It's the exhaust.
