Issues.

So I have an 08 2500 with 133000 on it. Lately it has been surging at stop lights. When I come to a red light it will surge and I have to stand on the brake pedal so I don't rear end the car in front of me. It has also been doing this while I drive, I will go accelerate and nothing will happen almost like a dead pedal. Then while flooring the gas with nothing happening it will just take off. It only does all this on occasion no pattern to it and I don't do anything different to make it happen. I have had the check engine light come on once and it back off. Im throwing no codes (unless im not checking them right). I took it into the dealer where I bought it and they are saying I need a new turbo and new injectors total of $16,000. Thats not happening ill do it myself in that case. But Im not satisfied that this is indeed the problem. Any ideas??? Anyone ever heard of this????

Is there any chance there is an issue with the throttle position sensor or wiring causing an intermittent signal? I've never heard of one doing this but its kind of an odd sounding issue

My truck started doing that about a year ago....at times it felt like the turbo was spooled up at idle and other times it wouldn't spool at all. The only code it would throw was an intermittent soft code for the turbo actuator. I ended up replacing the turbo and have had no problems since.
