2007 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L Mega Cab - Bizarre Behavior!
Forum:
I was on the highway yesterday in San Antonio, TX stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for 25 to 30 minutes. It was about 100 degrees yesterday. When the traffic finally started to clear, my truck acted as if it had almost NO power. I mean I had the accelerator pedal floored and the truck never got over 1500 RPM and accelerated very, very slowly. Temperature, oil and voltage were all normal.
After I arrived at my destination and parked and switched the engine off for about 10 minutes, I got back in and it drove just fine -- no more issues at all. Very weird!
Has anyone had an experience like this? Does anyone have any ideas?
More info: It is a stock truck, no EGR or DPF delete done (yet).
Thanks!

When that happened to me a few years ago it turned out to be the exhaust brake sticking (I suppose it was stuck closed). I ran it for a while on the freeway and it cleared up. Eventually I had to have the turbo cleaned. Hasn't happened since...
