Injectors Junk, Chrysler wants $10'200 to replace

Maybe mr. ed will chime in here. Anyway, on another forum, he mentioned a rough idle problem with his 07.5. He says 8oz of Power Service in a tank of fuel cleared it up. He hadn't been using any additive prior, and used it as a last resort, not wanting the dealer messing with his engine.
I would definitely get another opinion.
You haven't been using any home-brew additives have you? Like ATF or something in your fuel?

Find a new dealer.
A few miles over the 100,000 shouldn't be that big of a deal. A good dealer will go to bat for you when its that close. I have had my dealer here warranty 3/36 items up into the 40,000 mile range. As far as someone saying that they will just look for a late model 5.9 and avoid these issues, the injectors for them aren't cheap either. They are also blessed with basically no water separator. The dealer diesel mechanic at my dealership in Mt. Pleasant, Texas (and yes he is a real and a good diesel mechanic) told me that if the water in fuel light comes on it is basically already too late on these models with the drop in canister. At least the 6.7's have a better system on them. If the injecors are having problems because of water, it breaks down to buying fuel where is is sold in high volumes and draining the water of every couple of thousand miles whether it needs it or not. Sorry for the long post and I'm sorry for the trouble your having with your dealership. All injectors going bad at the same time is a very rare occurance without water contamination, so this sounds like a line of BS. I would run it like I stole it for a little while to see if it clears up.

If Power Service has to be used every tank there is something sticking.A bad FCA, one of the checks is a fuel lube or ashless two stroke oil and if it clears up and then goes to running poor when not used the FCA is sticking.I drain some out the fuel cannister every tank of fuel.

Dealers and shops that charge this kind of money are preying on people who do not know what to do, have lots of money, or do not have the Internet!
I would rent a mule and pull that truck to another shop or pull it home and attempt it myself before giving those jerks $10k. A good Internet search can give you tremendous alternatives and ideas!!!!
