How many have new turbos?

If you're starting to see a problem, you're probably better off getting it fixed as soon as they'll let you.

Besides the obvious CEL how are the trucks behaving before the turbo goes? Surging? Jake brake stronger then weaker? Or just a CEL and they put on a new one? I have 4100 miles and no CEL but I can feel the above symptoms. I think they may just be from operating a computer driven vehicle.
I didn't notice anything different about the truck's performance, just that the CEL light was on. They did a de-soot as well first, and after driving 1 mile down the road to go back home the light came on again and I took it back. At which point they decided to replace my turbo. (Which I told them was probably going to be the fix when I first took it to them.)

I did notice that during warm-up with high idle and the EB on, the engine would surge. But I'm not sure if that was the turbo or the EGR which was replaced this week. I'll keep an eye on it because getting stranded would not make me very happy.
De-soot didn't work. The P-2262 came back yesterday after <200 miles. The Service Writer said I need a new turbo...really! Hope this takes care of the codes after a new turbo and EGR in two weeks.
Just had mine replaced last week. No change in performance, but no CEL yet. Hopefully this will fix it for me. I had all the same problems as above, replaced the turbo and "knocking on wood" everything is good so far.. Also, I have seen the MPG go up by about 2 - hand calculated, so I am not complaining!
