How many have new turbos?
took my truck to the dealer with 10,006 miles. p2262 code, they performed a desoot and gave it back to me yesterday. they said it will need a new turbo if the CEL comes on again. this was the 8th visit to the dealer for multiple engine related issues starting at 1,800 miles. very dissapointing....

Truck only has 13600 miles and is only 7 months old.
Getting my new turbo installed tomorrow, the part just came in. Maybe I can get a break from the CEL's. The mechanic knows me by my first name, and this is a large dealership.
I had mine replaced about a month ago (est mileage about 15.5k). I was getting almost constant P2262 codes. Not only was a new turbo installed but they reflashed the computer with the latest (AX). I had a few CEL's after the work was done, but none were related to the turbo. Lately, there have been NO CEL's and I'm hoping it will stay that way. So far, very pleased with the truck....

yours is the first 08 i've seen that might need a new turbo. anybody else with an 08 have theirs replaced?
Well, I have been lurking around this site since I bought the truck in Aug ’07. Info is great. Love the truck….so was a little disappointed when the CEL activated on the weekend. Goes in for a new turbo tomorrow.
I have an '08 2500 and my truck has been in dealership for over a week. I tried to get Dodge to buy back with no luck. There attitude is to lemon the vehicle if it has been in for same issue more than 3 times. Mine has been in for P2000 code 4 times and finally got the turbo code. Chrysler claims they have a fix for problems by cleaning all the parts including turbo. My turbo was so dirty the dealership decided to replaced. I am still waiting on part. If I get anymore codes after this I will be going the lemon route.
Why are these things eating up the turbos? Is the fuel not being burned/ignited properly and coking up? I would be mad if i had spent the money on a new truck and it was already having problems with the turbo.
